Obituary: Nicholas A. Baluzy, 95, Of Danbury
Mr. Baluzy enjoyed football, baseball, an occasional poker game, playing the stock market, and he was always up for a good political debate.

DANBURY, CT — Nicholas A. Baluzy, 95, of Danbury, died on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Glen Hill Center, Danbury.
Mr. Baluzy was born in Bantam, on February 12, 1928, a son to the late Abdulnour and Carimine (Nahley) Baluzy. As a child, Mr. Baluzy moved with his family from Bridgeport to Danbury and has been a lifelong Danbury resident since. He attended Danbury schools, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1946, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from UConn. He was a retired mechanical engineer.

Mr. Baluzy enjoyed football, baseball, an occasional poker game, playing the stock market, and he was always up for a good political debate! He was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Danbury.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Valerio, whom he lived with for the last ten years, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Baluzy was predeceased by his two brothers, John and George Baluzy, and by his sister Helen White.
The Rite of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 125 Kohanza St., Danbury.
Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received at St. George Church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
