Obituary: Pearl Bockisch, 91: Danbury Schoolteacher
Pearl taught French, German, Spanish and English as a Second Language throughout the Danbury school system for more than forty years.
DANBURY, CT — On Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, Pearl Bockisch, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 91.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1929, on the family farm in St-Anne-de-Prescott Ontario, Canada. She moved to the United States where she earned a bachelor and master degree. She taught French, German, Spanish and English as a Second Language throughout the Danbury school system for more than forty years. She was married to Karl for 56 years. Together, they raised two sons, Paul and Bernard.
Pearl is preceded in death by her mother and father, Maria and Jean Baptiste Brunet and her brothers and sisters, Alcide (Francoise Laferriere), Cecile (late Wilfrid Roy), Edouard (Aline Beaune), Adelard (late Lucienne Matte), Gerard (Noella Massie), Jeanne-D'Arc, Roma (Francoise Sabourin) and Aime (Agnes Brunet). She is survived by her husband, Karl, her two sons, Paul and Bernard, their wives Teresa and Lisa and five grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Sarah, Nathan, and Rosemarie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 10, at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 26 Dodgingtown Road in Bethel, Connecticut. Internment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
