Sherby Jean was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church and active with the 60 Plus Ministry. Sherby Jean really loved people. Most times you would see her walking down Main Street with a big smile on her face, running her daily errands, then on to her other favorite things, shopping and stopping at McDonald’s for coffee. At her community Wooster Manor she loved sitting outside and chatting with her neighbors.
During her time at Saint John Paul Center, she became friends with everyone and was concerned about those who could not help themselves; she’d say “help them”. Again, with her infectious smile and comedic humor she was loved and will be missed by all.

Sherby Jean had no children, but had many cousins. When asked, she’d say she had two daughters; thank God for Yvonne Harris who faithfully visited her every day. Also, a special thanks to Charlotte Abrams who would go to help feed her dinner in the evening. A big thank you to all the nurses and CNAs at both Saint John Paul Center and Nuvance (Danbury Hospital).
She was preceded in death by her dad Percy Ewell Waller and mom Lois (Home) Harris Waller. Uncles Hoover Harris, Carlton (Ned) Harris, Henry (Son) Harris, Jessie Harris, Theodore (Ted) Harris, aunts Eula Hall, Lucy Douglas, and Nannie Monroe.
