Obituary: Thomas A. Frizzell, 82, Of Danbury
Tom was a member of the Danbury Lions Club and served a term as its president.

DANBURY, CT — Thomas A. Frizzell, 82, of Danbury, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, surrounded by his wife, Monica Dumser Frizzell, and his three children.
Tom was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Thomas A. and Veronica Armstrong Frizzell. He graduated from Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, St. John's University (earning a B.B.A.) and St. John's University School of Law, earning a J.D.

Tom and Monica were married in Danbury in 1968 and resided in Danbury where he raised a family and practiced law until his retirement in 2010.
He served on the Board of Trustees of Union Savings Bank and was its Chairman of the Board for a number of years until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the Danbury Lions Club and served a term as its president. After retirement, he resided at Piper's Landing in Palm City, Florida, until returning to Danbury in 2022.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Tom is survived by: his daughter, Monica Kapp and her husband, Todd; his son, Thomas and his wife, Dorothy; and his son, Timothy; his grandchildren: Julie, Michael and Ryan Kapp. His siblings Veronica MacDonneil, Ruth Carlson and William Frizzell as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.
Tom is predeceased by his brother, Gerald Frizzell.
The Frizzell family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Danbury Hospital's Critical Care Unit and 8th Floor Surgical Unit.
There will be a Memorial Service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bethel in the Spring.
