Obituary: Victor Muraca, 86, Longtime Danbury Resident
Victor was employed for many years as a realtor in the greater Danbury area.

DANBURY, CT — Victor Muraca, age 86 of Danbury, died at his residence on Sept. 11. He was the husband of Sestina (Pargalia) Muraca, married for 55 years.
Victor was born in Calabria, Italy March 5, 1937, the son of the late Aurelio and Orlandina (Vescio) Muraca. He emigrated to the United States in 1955, and had been a longtime Danbury resident, who was employed for many years as a realtor in the greater Danbury area. He loved his garden, his fig tree, making wine, playing bocce, watching calcio, and most importantly, spending time with his cherished family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be sorely missed.

Victor was a parishioner of Saint Gregory the Great Church, Danbury.
In addition to his wife Sestina, Victor is survived by his son Victor and daughter-in-law Maria, his son Marcello and daughter-in-law Ingrid, his granddaughters Beatrice and Ava, and his brothers and sisters: Luigi, Pasquale, Ottavio, Angelina, Raffaela, and Carmelina.

The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Thursday Sept. 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday Sept. 15 at Saint Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury.
Entombment at the Saint Peter Cemetery Mausoleum, Danbury will be private.
