Obituary: Winton C. Nickerson, 87, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Winton C. Nickerson, 87, of Danbury, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Winton is preceded in death by his father and mother, Edmond Nickerson and Renee Nickerson; and also a son, Howard Cray.

Winton was a U.S. Marine and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. He proudly served in the Korean War.

Winton enjoyed racing and working on cars and telling stories to his friends and family.

Winton is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Ann (Drury) Nickerson of 57 years. He is survived also by 5 sons and 2 daughters: Robin, William, Anthony, Wilton, Allen and Cheryl. He is also survived by over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday January 1, 2023 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Green Funeral Home located at 57 Main Street, Danbury.
