Pedestrian Seriously Injured When Struck by Car in Danbury: PD

DANBURY, CT — A pedestrian was hospitalized for a serious injury after being struck by a car in the area of 28 Federal Road Saturday, the police are reporting.

Danbury officers responded to the scene shortly after receiving a call at around 9 o'clock Saturday night.

A preliminary investigation shows that a 2016 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound on Federal Road and struck a pedestrian in the roadway, according to Danbury PD Detective Lt. Mark Williams. The victim was taken to Danbury Hospital's Emergency Department.

The accident is under investigation by the Danbury Police Department's Traffic Division. Anyone who may have witnessed or has any other information about the accident is urged to contact Sgt. DeRocco or Officer Leggiadro at (203) 797-2157.
