UPDATE: Pedestrian Struck by Car on North Street Dies of Injuries

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury man who was hit by a car on North Street last Thursday night has died from his injuries, police, the News Times has reported.

Nielson Rivas-Garcia, 31, died as a result of complications from traumatic head injuries he received when he was hit by a Subaru Outback driven by Ronald Fields, 56.

Witnesses have said that Rivas-Garcia was not in a crosswalk when he was seen making his way across North Street. Fields has not been charged.
