People's United Foundation supports Affordable Housing Mission

Provides grant to Housatonic Habitat for Humanity

Danbury, CT; 04/29/20 – People's United Foundation recently supported the affordable housing mission of Housatonic Habitat for Humanity with a $5,000 grant to support the operating expenses during the COVID-19 economic crisis.

People's United is a long-time supporter of the local Habitat chapter. People's Vice President, Customer Experience Manager John Gonski serves on Housatonic Habitat's Board of Directors as Treasurer. New Fairfield Branch Manager & AVP, Rebecca Laughinghouse is a member of the ReStore Advisory Committee and has volunteered on several task force groups for more than 5 years.

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes. Households often consist of those who have limited assets and who have jobs that also have income caps.
