Pietrafesa Named to Fill Open Danbury School Board Seat

DANBURY, CT — Former school board chairman Ralph Pietrafesa has been appointed to fill the seat on the current board, the News Times is reporting.

The board made their decision Wesnesday night in advance of a regularly scheduled meeting. Pomperaug High School English teacher Maegan Bollin had thrown her hat into the ring for the position, and was also interviewed by the board.

The seat on the board was vacated by Richard Hawley, who resigned last month in the face of growing demands on his work travel schedule.

Pietrafesa will complete Hawley's term through November 2019.
