Police Arrest Danbury Man Who Threatened Target Employees
The suspect had said he "was suicidal," had a gun, and made "specific threats," according to the police report.
DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a Danbury man on threatening and breach of peace charges after he reportedly threatened to kill himself and others last month.
Gary M. Lake, 62, of High Ridge Road in Danbury, had made "specific threats" of being "suicidal," having a gun, and threatening employees of the Target store on Stony Hill Road, according to the police report.
Bethel police arrested Lake at his residence on Oct. 25 and took his handgun as evidence, police said.

Lake was charged with first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and sent for evaluation by Danbury Hospital’s crisis intervention team, according to the report. Lake is scheduled to appear at state Superior Court in Danbury on Tuesday.
