Police Charge Danbury Men with Electronics Theft
A store employee tried to stop them and a brief altercation followed.

DANBURY, CT — Two Danbury men suspected of fleeing Walmart after stealing $50 worth of electronics on Saturday were arrested by police.
Delton Rogers, 22, 28 Harrison Street, and Luis David Torrez, 25, of 11 Spring Street were seen on surveillance video taking the electronics from the store on Newtown Road. On the video, the two were seen entering the store Saturday afternoon and concealing store property in their clothing before attempting to exit without making payment, police said.

A store detective tried to stop them, but Rogers shoved the employee and the suspects drove away, the police are reporting.
Officers were able to track the two down at 28 Harrison Street, where they were arrested without incident and transported to the police department.

Torrez was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree. Rogers was charged with larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree and robbery in the third degree.
Rogers was released on a $2,500 bond, while Torrez was released on a $500 bond.
