Police Charge Woman for Drug-Dealing Throughout Danbury
The arrest followed a months-long investigation, police reported.

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a city woman on drug charges following a months-long investigation.
Danbury police opened the investigation of Claudette Prior, 42, following complaints from residents that she was dealing drugs from her home on Dean Street and throughout the city. Police were issued search and seizure warrants for Prior's home, car and person, which they executed at 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police apprehended Prior in her car parked near a gas pump. A search of her person revealed that she was in possession of cocaine. A subsequent search of her car and residence revealed no further evidence, according to police.

Prior was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school/daycare and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school/day care.
Bond was set at $25,000 pending Prior's release or arraignment.
