Police K9 Finds Narcotics in Stolen Vehicle at Danbury Gas Station
CT State Police using a license plate reader near Exit 8 off I-84 in Danbury received a hit on a vehicle stolen from Colorado.

DANBURY, CT — A Connecticut State Police trooper using a license plate reader on I-84 in Danbury on Saturday morning received a hit on a stolen vehicle and followed the vehicle to the Gulf station off Exit 6, arresting its driver shortly after, state police said.
Christopher Taylor, 35, of Windsor Locks, as well as a passenger in his vehicle were detained at the gas station at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Saturday. Police confirmed that the vehicle was stolen and Taylor was arrested for theft, police said. Using a police K9, the state trooper found narcotics in the car and on the occupant who had Oxycontin pills.
Taylor was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than four ounces of TCH wax marijuana and third degree larceny, according to a police report.

Taylor is due in court on May 20, 2016.
