Police Nab Danbury Man on Drugs and Weapon Charges
The arrest came after a weeks-long investigation begun after complaints from residents.

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a Danbury man on drugs and weapon charges following a weeks-long investigation.
The Danbury Police Department started the investigation after receiving complaints from residents that Jason Edward Jones, 35, was selling drugs throughout the city.
Following the investigation, the court issued search and seizure warrants for Jones' person, phone and residence at 21 Park Place in Danbury. Police executed those warrants on Friday around 1:41 p.m., according to the police report.

Police followed Jones to a business parking lot on Lake Avenue, where they apprehended him in the middle of a drug transaction with Joshua Boyle, 33, of Birch Road in Danbury, police said.
A search of Jones’ car and residence revealed he possessed a "considerable quantity of crack cocaine and prescription narcotics," according to the report.

Jones was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance within 1500' of a school/daycare, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1500' of a school/daycare, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia within 1500' of a school/daycare, criminal attempt/sale of a controlled substance, and carrying a dangerous weapon. Jones was held on a $50,000 bond.
Joshua Boyle was charged with possession of heroin, a controlled substance, and released for a written promise to appear in court at a later date and time.
