Police: Prostitute Caught with Brookfield Man During Sexual Act in Danbury

Police caught the two in a van on Old Mill Road.

Danbury Police caught a prostitute and a Brookfield man engaged in a sexual act in a van Tuesday morning.

Officers from the Community Conditions Unit were in plain clothes in the area of Steven Street conducting surveillance. They observed a female known to them as Anjelica Miraglia, 25, of Danbury walking up and down the street attempting to wave down cars.

According to police, Miraglia then waved down a van operated by Michael Edwards, 60, of Brookfield. After Miraglia got into the van, officers followed the van to Old Mill Road.

After approaching the van, police saw the two engaged in a sexual act, police said.

Edwards was arrested, processed and charged with patronizing a prostitute and possession of marijuana. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on March 10.

During Miraglia’s arrest, a glass jar containing mushrooms was found in her purse. The mushrooms field tested positive for Psilocybin. Miraglia was processed and charged with prostitution, possession of hallucinogen, and possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held on a $500 bond.
