Power Outage at Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal went dark Monday morning at the lower level. So far trains service has not been affected.

Due to the outage, all stores in the terminal and the Lexington Avenue entrance is closed.

Metro North reports good service on all its lines.

NBC New York reported that investigators are looking into the possibility that the outage may be weather related. It is unclear when power will be restored.Ticket machines are not working and passengers need to buy tickets after boarding.

The outage was reportedly caused by a broken water pipe.
