'Remarkable Women' at Danbury Library

This interactive multi-media program will highlight some of the most remarkable women in Connecticut.

DANBURY, CT — Alexis Chisolm, Education Manager at the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, will present “Celebrating 300 Years of Connecticut’s Remarkable Women” at the Danbury Library on Saturday, September 22 from 3:00-4:00 pm. This interactive multi-media program will highlight some of the most remarkable women in Connecticut. Participants will learn about well-known women like Ella Grasso and Marian Anderson and also lesser known heroines like Hannah Watson and Maria Sanchez. Ms. Chisolm will provide a panoramic view of some of the inductees from across all fields of endeavor, such as sports, politics, arts, and sciences.

The Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame is an educational outreach organization. Their mission is to honor publicly the achievements of Connecticut women, to preserve their stories, to educate the public and inspire the continued achievements of women and girls.

The program is free of charge. Registration is required online. The Danbury Library is located at 170 Main Street in Danbury.
