Santa, Boughton, to Light Up Downtown Danbury
The holiday season in Danbury will officially begin Dec. 7.
DANBURY, CT — CityCenter will be welcoming Santa Claus, and the start of the 2019 holiday season, to Danbury on Dec. 7.
His Jolliness is scheduled to arrive by fire truck, courtesy of the Beckerle Hose Company. Mayor Mark Boughton will be throwing the switch to light up downtown and signal the official start of the season.
The event will include cookies, carolers and hot chocolate, as it should. Children are invited to visit Santa on the Library Plaza and begin negotiations.

The festivities are scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on the Library Plaza and will conclude with a lighted fire truck parade down Main Street.
