Scarecrows Coming To Downtown Danbury

DANBURY, CT — CityCenter Danbury has declared a Code Orange for Downtown.

Local businesses, organizations, and families can sign up now to decorate a scarecrow that will be displayed on a downtown lamp post.

CityCenter Danbury provides participants with a 5-foot-tall scarecrow frame. Participants provide Danbury with their creativity.

Downtown businesses are encouraged to incorporate their logos into their design. All scarecrows must be handmade using recycled materials like clothing, hats, straw, and raffia. No real pumpkins, gourds, or electronic/mechanical parts are allowed.

First prize is $500 in cash, and five runners-up will each receive a $100 gift certificate to a downtown establishment.
