Second Vendor's Fair by MOMS Club
This event gave people a chance to see new businesses and learn about options near their homes.

Women from all over the Fairfield county gathered at Danbury Police Activities League (PAL) to attend The MOMS Club second annual Ladies Day Out Vendor Fair on Sunday.
MOMS Club of Danbury-West and New Fairfield is a club that was established primarily for stay-at home mothers. They host a number of events throughout the year for children, mothers, and fathers. This chapter of The MOMS Club also plan many fundraising activities to donate to local businesses in the Danbury and New Fairfield community. The Ladies Day Out Vendor Fair is one of those events.
Near 100 vendors signed up to participate in the event. Articles up for sale ranged from jewelry to household items. Treasured Keepsakes by Randy, a local business that makes personalized books for children, were just one of many vendors that held a table. They had several famous character books available to add a child’s name into the story.

Local resident Jennifer Efosa said Treasured Keepsakes by Randy did a fantastic job at the fair.
“It was a unique idea; put a child right in the middle of the story. Stuff like that can make a child eager to read and that’s what we need,” said Efosa.

There were also vendors present offering possible services for local residents. Passion Parties with Holly Creamer was one of these vendors. Creamer was booking dates for December, January, and February for anyone interested in hosting a passion party during those months. She also had a wheel for anyone to spin, which offered prizes and gifts if anyone did decide to sign up to host a party.
Many of the vendors had raffles at their tables and discounts for interested buyers. College Nannies & Tutors of Danbury were at the event raffling off date night. The winner of the raffle would have a chance to go out for a night and College Nannies & Tutors would provide a nanny to watch the kids for free.
Katherine Gargano, a local Danbury resident, felt The MOMS Club did a fantastic job in this year’s vendor fair.
“It was just a nice day out. Perfect timing for the holidays, I was able to get a little shopping done while relaxing,” said Gargano.
Gargano also commented that the Vendor allowed her to be more aware of many local businesses that she did not know of before. She mentioned Contours Express, a women’s gym franchise that has a location on Mill Plain Road in Danbury.
“Know, instead of signing up for a big gym, I can help these guys out, while doing something for myself,” said Gargano.
Any proceeds made at the fair by the MOMS Club will be given to local organizations in Danbury that are committed to helping mothers and children.
