Special Election for 107th State Representative Seat

The election will be held on Feb. 24.

The 107th State Representative seat will be holding a special election on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The two candidates running for this seat are Howard Lasser (D) of Brookfield and Steve Harding (R) of Brookfield.

This district covers all of Brookfield and parts of Bethel and Danbury. The seat was recently vacated by long time state representative David Scribner, who retired to become Commissioner, Connecticut State Department of Consumer Protection.

A candidate debate, hosted by the Bethel Chamber of Commerce and the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, will be held at Whisconier Middle School, 17 West Whisconier Road, Brookfield on Thursday, Feb.19 at 7 p.m. Scott Benjamin, adjunct professor at Western Connecticut State University, will be the moderator.
