Stew Leonard's is 25
After starting out in a tent selling Christmas trees, Stew Leonard's celebrated its 25th anniversary in Danbury Wednesday before a crowd of at least 200 people.
Both Stew Leonard Jr., and his brother Tom Leonard, were greeted Wednesday evening with great applause while they celebrated Stew Leonard's 25th anniversary.
"It's been a great ride," Stew Leonard Jr. said. "I want to thank all of our people. They make it happen."
Tom Leonard recalled opening the Danbury store in a tent with his cousin Dan Arthur 25 years ago.

"I walked around the store after I got here. It's never looked better," said Tom Leonard, who now runs his own store, Tom Leonard's in Richmond, Va.
