Swiss Re Foundation recently donated $5,000 to Housatonic Habitat for Humanity to support the non-profit’s mission of providing affordable housing to first-time home buyers in the Greater Danbury area.

Bruce Mollenthiel, Vice President-Information Technology, has been a long-time supporter of Habitat and has led his team to volunteer on various Housatonic Habitat sites. “Work force housing is important to the health of our region and we are proud to support that effort.” Housatonic Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Fran Normann acknowledged Swiss Re’s impact over years of support. “We are always happy for the hands up from Swiss Re.”

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes. Households often consist of those who have limited assets and who have jobs that also have income caps.
