Trumbull PD Raises Money For Special Olympics

The Chips Restaurant in Trumbull hosted the annual Tip-A-Cop event where several officers traded their duty-belts for aprons.

From the Trumbull Police Department: On Friday February 23, 2018, Chips Restaurant in Trumbull hosted the annual Tip-A-Cop event where several officers traded their duty-belts for aprons and then worked as servers to raise money for the Connecticut Special Olympics Foundation.

The officers and the staff of Chips raised over thirteen hundred dollars during the event, which lasted for seven hours. Chief Michael Lombardo commended our officers and especially Detective Sergeant Brian Weir who helped organize the event with Chips and coordinates Trumbull’s Law Enforcement Torch Run every year. Chips restaurant held the fundraisers at all their locations with local police departments.
