Von Trapps: The Stage is Alive With The Sound of New Music at The Palace Danbury
Sofia, Melanie, Amanda and August von Trapp are continuing their great grandparents' legacy with an exciting musical performance in Danbury

Sofia, Melanie, Amanda, and August von Trapp are the great grandchildren of The Sound of Music’s Captain and Maria von Trapp, the family that inspired the beloved The Sound of Music musical. The children are carrying on the family tradition by performing at Danbury’s historic Palace Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Their grandfather Werner von Trapp taught the children the Austrian folk songs he loved as a child. Upon becoming too ill to travel, the children recorded songs to cheer him and their musical journey was born.
The von Trapps performances include ukuleles, lyrics in ten languages and inspiration from the Mamas & Papas. They have performed across the country, appeared on Oprah, and recorded with Wayne Newton, Rufus Wainwright, and recently performed with country music legend Lorretta Lynn.
