Water Main Break Disrupts Service In Danbury, Officials Say

DANBURY, CT — A water main break is disrupting service Thursday morning on Merrimac Street in Danbury, according to city officials.

Residents in the area may experience low water pressure or temporary outages as crews work to repair the break.

City officials said water has been shut off to affected areas while repairs are underway. The work is expected to take approximately four to six hours.

After repairs are completed, crews will flush hydrants in the area, which may cause temporary water discoloration. Residents are advised to run cold water until it clears.
