Wells Fargo and Housatonic Habitat Explain First-Time Home Buying
Help first-time home buyers understand the process

Representatives of Wells Fargo Bank and Housatonic Habitat for Humanity gave a step-by-step overview of first-time home ownership to prospective home buyers at the 7th Day Adventist church in Danbury. Wells Fargo spokesperson David Perry talked about the procedures and key terms of home buying and provided an overview of home mortgages and practical financial planning.
Fran Normann, Executive Director of Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, described the Housatonic Habitat model , which combines volunteer-led home construction with a zero-interest home loan to families meeting specific criteria. “Home is the key,“ she said.“ We are working with local families to give them the tools to move toward home ownership.”
She added that Housatonic Habitat is now accepting mortgage applications for properties to be available in the fall. Those interested can find detailed information under ‘Home Ownership’ on the Housatonic Habitat for Humanity website, http://housatonichabitat.org, or by contacting Housatonic Habitat at info@housatonichabitat.org or 203-744-1340 x104.
