Where To Donate Blood In Danbury During Red Cross Month

DANBURY, CT — March is Red Cross Month, and the organization has designated two local sites for blood donors.

Danbury residents can donate blood on:

  • March 10 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Danbury Hospital RSM, 24 Hospital Avenue
  • March 12 from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church International, 8 Delay Street

The Red Cross is particularly interested in type O blood, but all types of blood are urgently needed to help ensure blood is available for patients this spring, officials said in a release.

Donors may make an appointment by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.
