Woman Robbed a Gas Station in Danbury: Police

Armed with a knife, she fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

DANBURY, CT -- On July 4 at about 7:45 a.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Exxon gas station at 464 Main Street.

Upon their arrival at the scene, officers were told that a female had entered the business armed with a knife and robbed the store clerk of an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled.

After examining the surveillance video, police were able to identify the woman as Elizabeth Saparato, 30, of 4 Hillside Avenue in Danbury. After further investigation, officers obtained a warrant for her arrest issued by the Danbury Superior Court.

Police arrested Saparato at her residence without incident, and transported her to police headquarters. She was charged with robbery in the first degree, unlawful restraint in the first degree and larceny in the sixth degree. Bond was set at $50,000.
