Wrap with Habitat this holiday season

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers who love to “wrap”. No singing required! Since 2011, volunteers have been wrapping holiday gifts purchased from throughout the Danbury Fair Mall -- and beyond -- for a donation to Housatonic Habitat. "Wrapping for Habitat" runs from December 1 through Christmas Eve day at a booth at the Danbury Mall entrance to Macy*s second floor. More than 200 volunteers participate in this "feel good, do good" event.

Macy*s has been the event sponsor from the start 8 years ago and has not only donated space but supplies and support. Individuals, youth groups and businesses interested in volunteering for a three-hour session should contact: info@housatonichabitat.org. Donate wrapping paper, gift bags, gift tags, ribbons and bows to the event, too.

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes. Households often consist of those who have limited assets and who have jobs that also have income caps.
