Xfinity WiFi Hotspots Open Through Noon Saturday

Thousands of Xfinity WiFi Hotspots in the Northeast Are Open for All

In preparation for Juno, Comcast opened up its Xfinity WiFi public hotspots to anyone - including non-Comcast customers. Comcast owns and operates thousands of WiFi hotspots across Connecticut that are typically only available to our customers.

Everyone will be able to take advantage of the hotspots until noon on Saturday, January 31. For a searchable map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, which are located both indoors and outdoors in spaces such as malls, shopping districts, parks, train platforms and other areas, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi.

To use a hotspot, consumers should can search for the “xfinitywifi” network name then follow these instructions.

Xfinity Internet Customers:

· Once at a hotspot, select “xfinitywifi” from the list of available networks.

· When you initially connect to “xfinitywifi”, a sign in page will appear. If a sign in page does not appear automatically, open your browser and navigate to a Web site such as www.xfinity.com. The sign in page will now appear.

· Customers can easily log-in with their Comcast ID or email and password. After the initial sign in, customers will be automatically connected to the network whenever they are in a hotspot location.

Note: Xfinity Internet customers who have logged into Xfinity WiFi before are automatically connected to the network whenever they are in a hotspot location.

Non-Customer Instructions:

· Once at a hotspot, select “xfinitywifi” from the list of available networks.

· When you initially connect to “xfinitywifi”, a sign in page will appear. If a sign in page does not appear automatically, open your browser and navigate to a Web site such as www.xfinity.com. The sign in page will now appear.

· Click the Get Started link in the “Not an XFINITY Internet Customer?” section.
