$50k+ Theft of Tires, Rims and Vehicle at Darien Auto Dealership

Two dozen tires and rims were among the stolen items.

DARIEN, CT — Police are investigating after more than $50,000 worth of tires, rims and a vehicle was stolen from the H&L Chevrolet dealership sometime in the overnight hours between Jan. 20 and 21.

Employees arrived in the morning to find a pad lock had been removed from a secured fenced area of the dealership, police said.

Among the items taken were 24 22-inch tires and rims worth between $24,000 and $25,000.

A 2017 Chevrolet Express was also stolen and may have been used to cart the tires and rims away. The vehicle is worth $28,592.

Police continue to investigate.
