A Witches Brew

Permit me a scene from MacBeth during this Halloween time. Three witches around a cauldron: "Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble." The three witches are Haggerty Ross, Chairman Mao and Jayme stirring a pot of illegalities and fraud seasoned with a complete lack of transparency. Jayme, who has steadfastly refused to get involved in the BOE fiasco, now is leading the show. This is the same Jayme who loves transparency so much that she has shielded Post 53 from objective analysis. Then we have Chairman Mao who infamously commented about the unlimited resources to defend the BOE but didn't seem as concerned about the illegalities themselves. Finally, we have Haggerty Ross who is perhaps closest to this scandal. If we want a warlock for diversity, let's throw in Bruce Orr who expressed concern about all those special Ed parents who were trying to game the system. Guess what Bruce, the school system, not the parents, has been charged with the illegalities. To borrow again from the Bard, something is rotten in the town of Darien.

Stay tuned,

Walter Casey
