With parking and access plans still in design and construction years away, selectmen are urging a cautious approach and seeking extensive public input, including through upcoming committee meetings.
3. Salon franchisee wants to open in Darien (westfaironline.com) — A new Image Studios salon-suite franchise is seeking town approval to open 34 individual beauty studios on the second floor of 800 Boston Post Road in Darien, its first Connecticut location. The proposal details parking capacity, expected business hours, and how the shared facility would host independent stylists, barbers, and other beauty professionals serving local clients.
4. Lamont says 'rain bomb' overwhelmed parts of Fairfield County (ctmirror.org) — Darien saw more than 7 inches of rain in Sunday's 'rain bomb,' and federal officials have just approved over $350,000 to repair the town's Gorham Pond Dam, previously damaged by Hurricane Ida. 5. Crêpes Choupette closes West Hartford restaurant (ctpost.com) — Crêpes Choupette has shut down its West Hartford restaurant, but its Darien location remains open, along with one in New Haven.
