Another Underage Drinking Party Broken Up By Darien Police
The party was held on May 19.

DARIEN, CT — An underage drinking party was broken up by Darien police on May 19, the latest one since this month's arrest of a local couple who were home when their child hosted a similar event.
The incident began when the department received an anonymous tip that an underage drinking party was taking place on the 19th at a home on Mansfield Avenue.
"Upon arrival, Officers met with a 21 year old male who resides at that address," wrote police in a statement. "Officers asked the resident if there was a party going on. He replied 'yes' and further explained that there were approximately 20-25 juveniles in the house. He stated the juveniles were all his younger brother's friends that the younger brother had invited to the home. The resident further indicated he had just returned home 15-20 minutes prior to officers arrival. He stated he was trying to get the house clean and had asked the juveniles to leave."

By the time officers entered the premises, there was no one inside. "The adult owners/parents were notified by Officers that a party had taken place in their home."
Police found numerous opened beer cans, and articles of clothing, scattered across the lawn in the rear of the home.

"Officers then met with the juvenile who hosted the gathering. He admitted to consuming alcohol with his friends at the residence, but did not know who brought it," wrote police. "He said his friends left the property when the police initially arrived."
The juvenile host, who police did not identify because he is 16 year old, was issued an infraction for Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, according to police.
