Connecticut Weather Forecast: 'Brutal Temp Change'
The National Weather Service says there are a few snow chances coming up. Here are the latest details on the major changes.

Some major weather changes are on the way right now in Connecticut and we’re not talking about snow. Temperatures are dropping like a rock this evening and the winds will begin to pick up bringing wind chills to near zero tomorrow morning, said NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.
“Here comes the cold front! By morning wind chills will be near 0F across the state,” Hanrahan said. The National Weather Service says temps will drop into the low to mid 20s tonight and we’ll remain cold until Sunday.
Hanrahan said there may be a few snow showers this evening and with falling temps black ice could be a concern too. Connecticut has a few chances for snow over the next seven days but as of right now nothing looks significant.

“A little light snow Thursday morning.. and high res models insist on a band of Sound Enhanced Snow for North Fork of LI, Block Island, MV, and ACK,” Hanrahan added. After Thursday, there is a small chance of light snow Friday night and snow/rain on Sunday night.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said we can expect “A brutal temp change coming tonight & tomorrow with snow squalls & wind chills 8-18 degrees! Maybe a little snow Thursday AM.”

FOX 61 Weather Meteorologist Matt Scott said, “expect COLD for everyone for the next few days, as temps stay below freezing until the weekend! Arctic air! Temps plunging overnight to teens to low 20s, before you factor in the winds. Temps won't see above freezing levels for the next few days!
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Hartford and Tolland counties saying, “A period of westerly wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible Wednesday into Wednesday night. This may result in the need for a wind advisory. With bitterly cold temperatures in place, wind chill headlines may also be needed.”
