Burglaries Reported At 2 Businesses In Darien: Police
Police said a safe was found on its side in the office hallway of one of the buildings.

DARIEN, CT — Burglaries were reported at two businesses in Darien over the weekend, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said one of the burglaries was reported Saturday at a business on Old Kings Hwy S after a cleaning crew arrived for work and noticed a safe on its side in an office hallway. Several drawers in an employee's office were also found open.
Surveillance camera footage from Friday showed a man in the building around 6:3o p.m. using a flashlight and flipping the cameras over, Skoumbros said.

A burglary was also reported Saturday at a business on the Post Road after a man arrived at the building around 3 p.m. and noticed his office in disarray.
According to Skoumbros, the man told police drawers in his office were opened and appeared to have been gone through. The man also reported petty cash stolen from one of the drawers.

Both investigations are ongoing, Skoumbros said.
