Catalytic Converter Theft Reported In Darien: Police
The incident is one of a number of catalytic converter thefts reported in town over the past couple of months.

DARIEN, CT — A catalytic converter was recently reported stolen from a vehicle in Darien, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said a man told officers he parked his car on Ledge Road around 1 p.m. on Feb. 27 and discovered the part was cut from his vehicle around 9:30 p.m. that night.
The theft was reported to police on March 1.

The incident is one of a number of catalytic converter thefts reported in Darien so far this year. Last month, police said the part was reported stolen from four different vehicles in the span of a week.
In many reported instances, the driver often notices the part is missing after their vehicle begins making unusually loud noises when started.
