The Friends Book Shop at the Ferguson Library will hold its annual Collectible Sale Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 3, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Library in Stamford.
The sale will feature a curated selection of collectible and vintage books at great prices, including first &amp; special editions, signed &amp; inscribed copies, leather-bound sets &amp; finely illustrated works and children’s books. The sale will also include art books, modern collectibles, ephemera, comics, vinyls and other treasures.
Prices will start as low as three dollars!
Cash, checks, credit/debit cards and Apple Pay are all accepted.

The upcoming performance is a fundraiser for KEYS and will be the 5th concert for this group at the church.The program will include music by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Delibes and some surprises, as well.The funds from the concert will be used to continue KEYS' vision to transform the lives of underserved children through music education. KEYS programs include one-to-one instrument and group lessons in Bridgeport taught by a faculty of over 30 music educators in 24 Bridgeport schools. Students learn life skills, such as preparation, patience, collaboration, and respect through the discipline of learning music and participation in ensembles. The Museum of Darien invites you to journey back to the Revolutionary War era at its Annual Spring Fundraiser, War Comes to Middlesex: Rebels and Redcoats, on Saturday, May 16, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. This lively and immersive event promises an unforgettable evening filled with history, community, and celebration.
Guests will be transported to the 18th century as the Museum transforms into a bustling hub of Revolutionary War activity. The evening will feature live music, delectable tavern bites courtesy of Carolyn Eddie’s Absolutely Fabulous Events, and libations provided by Captain Zig and Town Cellar. The festive Colonial Tavern atmosphere will set the stage for a night of fun and historical intrigue.
From colonial-inspired games to a Silent Auction and themed entertainment, attendees can indulge in a wide range of activities that bring the tensions and excitement of the Revolutionary era to life. Whether you pledge loyalty to the Patriots or the Crown, this fundraiser offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and spirit of 18th-century life.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity to experience history in a fun, immersive way while supporting the Museum’s mission,” says Amy Allen, Executive Director of the Museum of Darien. “We’re excited to welcome the community for a night that blends education, entertainment, and philanthropy within our new Revolutionary exhibit, War Comes to Middlesex.”
