Come Join the Showdown on the Sound on May 19 at Weed Beach

For Michael: Enjoy a fun-filled day for the whole family while making an important difference in the fight against the opioid epidemic.

In April 2016, Michael Taylor’s life was cut tragically short due to his struggle with opioid addiction. Mike was a son, brother, and friend, but most of all he was simply a terrific human being, which is why his friends and family have taken it upon themselves to shatter the stigma of addiction and to aid in the fight against the opioid epidemic. By partnering with Shatterproof to raise funds and awareness, we know we can make a difference in this fight.

Only a few weeks after the two-year anniversary of Michael Taylor’s passing, his friends and family will gather to share laughter, music, food and friendly competition at this special fundraising event called Showdown on the Sound. Join in the battle against addiction at Weed Beach, 155 Nearwater Lane in Darien starting at 12:30 pm.

The event will feature a “build your own boat” relay race, live music by ‘The Alpaca Gnomes’, family-friendly lawn & beach games, a dunk tank, food trucks, a silent auction and more!
