Connecticut Weather Forecast: What To Expect This Week

If you have outdoor plans this week we'll let you know what days rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast.

Connecticut’s weather forecast for the next week looks pretty good with lots of sun, warm temps, especially on Wednesday, and a couple of rain chances later in the week. It looks like rain will move in Thursday night and there could be some rain and thunderstorms on Friday and early Saturday.

On Wednesday, the state could see temps above 90 degrees but most of the week is in the 80s. WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Fred Campagna wrote, “Expect a quiet start to the workweek. It looks like a decent beach day, with some clouds arriving this afternoon. The best bet for rain this week is Thursday night into Friday."

He then added, “Tropical Storm Gert is heading out to sea rather harmlessly between U.S. and Bermuda. The European computer model develops at least two more tropical systems in the next two weeks as we get closer to the peak of hurricane season.” (To sign up for free, local breaking news alerts from more than 100 Connecticut communities click here.)
