Construction To Begin Soon Near Middlesex Middle School: Darien DPW

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Department of Public Works this week announced that construction is set to begin soon near Middlesex Middle School at 30 Edgerton St. Work will include regrading and the establishment of turf, according to the announcement.

The project is tentatively scheduled to begin May 6 and will be completed by the end of the month, weather permitting.

"Passage of vehicular traffic through the site will be available at all times. Pedestrians will also continue to use this site as a cut through to Middlesex Middle School via use of the sidewalks which will remain open," the announcement said. "Please use care and caution around construction activity and avoid construction zone."

Construction hours will be from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be no site work on weekends or Memorial Day, but some soil deliveries may occur on Saturdays, DPW said.
