CT Talk Show Host Seeks Court Program To Erase DUI: Report
Steve Wilkos wrecked his vehicle on Jan. 21 and was later charged with drunk driving.

DARIEN, CT — Talk show host Steve Wilkos, the Darien resident who reportedly admitted to drunk driving in connection with a Jan. 21 crash, has applied for a court diversionary program in an effort to have his recent DUI arrest erased from his record, writes the Stamford Advocate.
Wilkos appeared briefly in Stamford Superior Court on Monday to request the program, which could take about 15 weeks to complete if he is admitted. He is scheduled to appear in court again on April 16 for the judge's decision on acceptance or denial of the request.
A former body guard for Jerry Springer, Wilkos suffered injuries in the crash, in which his vehicle flipped over onto its side on West Avenue in Darien. His blood alcohol content was measured at .29 percent at the time, more than three-times the legal limit.
