Darien Beaches Closed To Swimming: Town
The town made the announcement Thursday morning.
DARIEN, CT — Weed and Pear Tree Point beaches are closed to swimming Thursday following heavy rainfall during the overnight hours, according to an announcement from the towm.
The town said it's standard practice to close the beaches after receiving 2 inches of rain. The water will be open for swimming again on Friday, July 19, the town noted, and lifeguards will be on duty.
Swimming lessons for Thursday will be cancelled and moved to Friday.
