Darien Cops Come Across Marijuana-Smoking Man During Burglary Suspect Search
Police happened to be searching for the New Canaan burglary suspects when they came across two men in the park.
DARIEN, CT—A pair of men got a surprise when several officers along with a K-9 responded to Stoningbrook Park Sept. 14.
Officers were searching for a Subaru Legacy that was wanted in connection with reported New Canaan burglaries. Darien officers saw a similar vehicle unoccupied in Stoningbrook Park.
New Canaan Police responded along with a K-9 unit. Two men were found in the park and it was determined they weren't the burglary suspects and the vehicle wasn't connected.

An officer smelled marijuana and one of the men admitted to smoking it. Marijuana was seized and the man was given an infraction.
