Darien Coronavirus Testing Moved To April 14

High winds and heavy rains on Monday led to the change in schedule.

DARIEN, CT — Monday's postponed coronavirus testing in Darien has been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 14, according to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson and town officials.

The schedule change is due to Monday's high winds and heavy rains. In addition to Tuesday's session, the town also will host a second session on April 17.

Both sessions will be conducted at Darien High School.

"Due to today's severe weather, the COVID-19 testing scheduled for today at DHS has been postponed until tomorrow," officials wrote on the town's website. "So, the two testing dates for this week are TUESDAY, April 14th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and FRIDAY, April 17th from 9:00 am to noon."

According to state health officials, Darien had 131 confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases as of Sunday. As of last week, two local residents had died as a result of the virus.
