Darien Coronavirus Update: Number Of Deaths Reaches 4
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Darien stands at 149 as of Wednesday, according to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson.

DARIEN, CT — The number of Darien residents who have passed away of complications from the new coronavirus (COVID-19) reached four as of Wednesday, and the number of confirmed cases now stands at 149, according to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson.
Additional information about the Darien cases, such as the gender split and number of hospitalizations, was not immediately available. In New Canaan, the number of coronavirus-related deaths has reached 16, and the number of confirmed cases is 137.
The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Fairfield County reached 365 as of Wednesday, and the number of confirmed cases in the county stands at 6,480. Stamford continues to lead the county and the state with 1,583 confirmed cases, according to state health officials.

In Norwalk, the number of deaths climbed to 41 as of Wednesday, and the number of confirmed coronavirus cases reached 841.
On Wednesday, Gov. Ned Lamont said that he is preparing an executive order requiring masks or face coverings in some situations. He intends to release guidance on that later this week.
