Darien HS Lacrosse Tops In National Rankings

DARIEN, CT — Say it loud, say it proud, Darien... You're #1!

The Blue Wave boys' lacrosse team finished the 2017 season undefeated (23-0), winning another state championship in the process.

But the team didn't stop there, when this week it was named the nation's #1 high school lacrosse program in the season-ending "Power Rankings" poll by Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse. Brunswick School (15-1, #4 in the country) and Avon Old Farms (14-2, #21) were Connecticut's other two teams to make the Top 25.

Additionally, Darien also topped the USA Today "Super 25 Computer Rankings," but was bumped down to #5 in the publication's "Super 25 Expert Rankings."
