Darien Police Bust Large Teen Party, Summons Issued
As many as 100 guests may have been at the party, according to police.

DARIEN, CT—A 17-year-old teen was issued a summons after police broke up a large party on Mansfield Avenue that may have had up to 100 attendees, according to police.
Police received multiple reports of the party Oct. 29. Between 25 and 30 youths were seen in a driveway by police and scattered. Another 50 to 75 attendees scattered from the back yard when police made their presence known.
About 10 youths in the residence remained and were released to adult supervision. Some were 18-years-old or older.

Officers found numerous beer cans, red Solo cups and a beer pong table along with a water bong with marijuana residue outside and inside the residence.
Police met with an adult who doesn't live at the address. He said he was called by a juvenile to help get the party under control.

Officers noted that a sheet rock ceiling had punctured holes in the living room. Parents returned home and said they believed the party was going to be alcohol free.
The juvenile who was issued a summons for providing alcohol to minors told officers that many more people showed up than were initially invited. The matter was referred to juvenile court.
